The Mehran has no factory immobilizer and no alarm, which is why it tops theft lists in Karachi and Lahore year after year. A ZeeTrack tracker adds what the car never had: a phone call when the ignition is switched on, engine lock from the app and a control room that can stop it.
The Mehran has the simplest wiring of any car on Pakistani roads, which is exactly why it is so easy to steal: no immobilizer, no alarm and a steering lock that a thief defeats in seconds. The installer hides the device behind the dashboard or under the centre console, takes power and ignition from the fuse box without cutting anything, and fits the engine-lock relay on the starter circuit. On the Euro II Mehran and the older VX the wiring is the same.
The visit takes about an hour at your doorstep. Because production ended in 2019, every Mehran is at least a few years old; the device has its own backup battery, so a tired car battery does not switch the tracker off, and the battery-tamper alert calls you if someone disconnects the terminal.
The most common question is whether a tracker is too much for a car of this age. The Basic package at PKR 14,999 costs a fraction of even an old Mehran and gives live location, safe zones and engine lock from the app; the Standard package adds the phone call when the ignition is switched on without you, which is the alert that catches a Mehran thief, because the car is usually gone within a minute.
Owners who use the Mehran as a work car, for deliveries or as a second family car, like the three months of trip and park reports, and the two app users let a father and son both watch it.
Mehran VX (1989 to 2019, the base model with no air conditioning), Mehran VXR (with air conditioning) and the Euro II versions from 2012 onwards all share the same 800 cc engine and the same harness. None has an immobilizer or a central-locking alarm, so the tracker is the first electronic defence the car has ever had.
On cars with aged wiring the installer checks the battery and the earth before fitting, and the device has its own backup battery so a weak car battery does not switch it off. The installation takes about an hour and the device is hidden behind the dashboard or under the centre console.
Mehran wiring is simple and the tracker is hidden out of sight in under an hour. Our technicians install it at your doorstep; nothing on the dashboard changes, so a thief has no idea it is there.
The same three packages as every car, with free doorstep installation in every city. Most Mehran owners choose Standard for the ignition alert by phone call.
